Das Foto des unbekannten Wurmes wurde von Sachse318 mit folgender Anmerkung zur Id eingestellt: "Hallo Kann mir jemand sagen was das für ein Wurm ist? Ich habe drei Stück unter meiner Muschel gefunden die seit ein paar Tagen nicht mehr richtig aufgeht. mfg Andreas"
Die genaue Bestimmung ist uns leider nicht gelungen, jedoch gab uns Leslie Harris folgende Information :
Hallo sachse318,
wir haben Leslie Harris eine Expertin (LACM-AHF Polychaete Collections Manager, LA) gefragt.Es soll sich um einen Vielborster (Syllidae) handeln.Der abgebildetet Wurm hat mit dem sich nicht öffnen Deiner Muschel nichts zu tun. Syllidae ernähren sich von sessilen Organismen wie Bryozoans (Mosstierchen), Schwämmen, Algen , Detritus und Syllis onkylochaeta ernährt sich von Weichkorallen.
Leslie Harris : "
I'm sure the worm had nothing to do with the closure of the mussel. Syllids tend to be predators on sessile organisms like bryozoans and sponges, some eat algae & detritus, and a couple of species are known to prey on soft corals. The normal mode of feeding is to puncture cell walls & suck out the contents so with a few exceptions they do little damage to their prey. One big exception is Syllis onkylochaeta Hartmann-Schroder which eats soft corals."
