Small specimens to young adults common in our area; greatly similar to the relative C.oxycephalus, from Indo-Australian Archipelago and Kerama Islands, Okinawa; one of the largest members in the genus; I saw a gigantic fully-grown adult at the depth of 2 meters in Hanauma Bay, Oahu but it disappeared immediately among rocks; very easy to keep
